Uda Pussellawa tea
A Sri Lankan high-grown district squeezed between Nuwara Eliya and Uva, and tasting of both. It gives a bright, rosy cup with something of Uva’s aromatic edge, and is the least commercially promoted of the island’s named districts.

Up the elevation band. The body thins, the brightness sharpens, and a faint rose note appears that mid-grown Ceylon does not have.

Neighbouring Sri Lankan high-grown districts with overlapping character. Uva’s aromatic edge is the distinguishing feature and it is seasonal, so out of season the two are hard to tell apart.
