A later Sri Lankan release, from the 4000-series band. The later bands come from a period when the island’s planting problem had changed: the estates were ageing, replanting rates were low, drought and low-country expansion had become the pressing issues, and a clone’s tolerance of a difficult site mattered more than its yield on a good one.
