Citrus peel stuffing vs flower scenting
Two aromatisation methods with opposite relationships to time. Scenting is finished when the flowers are removed and fades thereafter; a mandarin stuffed with dark tea keeps the peel in permanent contact, so the aroma continues to migrate for as long as the object exists.

One is a finished product and the other is an ongoing process, and that is the difference a buyer should act on: jasmine tea should be bought young and drunk soon, and a stuffed mandarin can be bought old and is often better for it.
